Habits Singapoeans find most annoying in public

I read an article from Today that list the top habits that Singaporeans find most annoying in public and the results are as follow:

  1. Not clearing plates - 93%
  2. Chope-ing of seats - 76%
  3. Not treating others with respect - 65%
  4. Not being considerate to the elderly and pregnant 55%
I am really puzzled by the survey results. You mean that actions like chope-ing of seats is more annoying than folks that are inconsiderate to the elderly and pregnant? You gotta be kidding me!

If the results are real, are we really gracious or are we just concern more about ourselves? I think people who are annoyed at such minor things like uncleared tables or chope-ing of seats weren't annoyed because they think it is not gracious. Rather it is about them not being able to get a table for themselves at that moment of time!

With survey results like this, are people really gracious or are they simply pragmatic even when it comes to graciousness?

Personally, I am disgusted.

Even the order of the results reflects the self-centeredness... very interesting.
